Know exactly what you have, which batch it came from, and whether the lots match.
IBIOS tracks shade lots and batch references on every tile and batch-managed product. When goods arrive, IBIOS compares the incoming lot against the customer’s original order and alerts you immediately to any mismatch.

How does shade-lot tracking work?
Four steps that prevent shade-lot disputes before they happen.
Order recorded
Products in IBIOS carry a shade-lot or batch reference. When you raise a customer order, the required shade lot is recorded against the order line.
Goods arrive
When stock arrives from the supplier, you log the goods receipt in IBIOS. The incoming shade lot is entered against each product received.
Mismatch check
IBIOS compares the arriving shade lot to the one on the customer’s order. If they differ, an alert is raised before the goods leave your warehouse.

Who is IBIOS stock control for?
Shade-lot and batch tracking is most critical for businesses selling products where visual consistency between batches matters.
Tile showrooms
Tiles from different dye lots look different under installation lighting. A shade-lot mismatch caught at goods receipt is easy to put right. One caught after fitting is expensive.
Bathroom showrooms
Bathroom tile orders often span multiple deliveries. IBIOS tracks each lot reference and flags any inconsistency before the wrong batch reaches a customer.
Flooring retailers
Carpet, laminate, and LVT products are manufactured in runs. Matching the dye lot across a large flooring order is as critical as tile shade-lot matching.
Wall and floor tile specialists
Specialist tile retailers handling large commercial orders depend on shade-lot consistency across multiple pallets. IBIOS tracks every pallet reference separately.

Questions about stock control
How does shade-lot tracking work in IBIOS?
Every tile and batch-tracked product in IBIOS carries a shade-lot or dye-lot field on each stock movement. When you raise a customer order, the shade lot is recorded. When goods arrive, you log the shade lot on the goods receipt. IBIOS compares the arriving shade lot against the one on the original order and flags any mismatch before the goods are dispatched.
Can IBIOS alert me to a shade-lot mismatch when goods arrive?
Yes. This is the primary purpose of shade-lot tracking in IBIOS. When you log a goods receipt, IBIOS checks the incoming shade lot against the shade lot on the customer’s order. If they differ, an alert is raised immediately. This prevents the costly situation of a customer receiving tiles from different shade lots that do not visually match.
Does IBIOS track stock across multiple locations?
Yes. IBIOS holds stock across more than one location today, for example a showroom and a warehouse. Shelf-level locations within a site (aisle, bay and shelf, and shelf stock versus back stock) are coming soon.
Can I do a stock count in IBIOS?
Yes. IBIOS supports stock adjustments with reason codes. You can count your stock, enter the actual quantity, and IBIOS records the adjustment with the reason (stock count, damage write-off, supplier correction, and so on). The adjustment is included in the full audit log.
Does IBIOS come with a product catalogue?
Catalogues are private to each company, so you import your own. IBIOS has a catalogue import for your products — baths, shower trays, enclosures, tiles, taps, accessories — from any supplier, with specifications, SKUs, and trade pricing, and you can create additional brands.
Which IBIOS product line includes stock control?
Stock control is part of IBIOS Inventory Control, with stock across more than one location and shade-lot tracking available now. Barcode scanning and low-stock alerts are coming soon. It is built for tile showrooms and flooring retailers. See also: matching tile shade lots.
