Support anyone while you talk to them: see their screen, take control (with consent), in their language (coming soon)
IBIOS Assist is coming soon and is not live yet. Built on IBIOS Meet, it will let you talk by voice or video while you support someone, in their own language, see their screen and take control only with their explicit consent, which they can withdraw at any time. The session will be visible to the person being supported, and the session report will land in IBIOS on the customer or staff record.
Coming soon. Early access by waiting list.
Where will remote support fit in IBIOS?
IBIOS Assist is coming soon, built on IBIOS Meet, together with live translation (coming soon). Support sessions will sit on the same customer records (CRM) as the call reports and briefings IBIOS already writes from your phone recordings today. For real scenarios, browse IBIOS use cases.

Remote support with screen control: what to check before you choose
Written by the IBIOS team. IBIOS was built inside a working bathroom showroom in Northern Ireland, where it runs the business day to day. Last updated 18 October 2026.
How do you choose remote support software?
Decide how consent will work first, then where each session should be recorded, then who needs support and in which languages, and only then which tool to use. IBIOS Assist is coming soon; this guide explains what to look for in any remote support tool, and what IBIOS Assist is being built to do.
- Consent first. The person being supported should agree before anyone takes control, see what is happening, and be able to stop it at any time. IBIOS Assist, coming soon, is being built that way.
- Talk while you fix. Support goes faster when you can talk while you work. IBIOS Assist, coming soon, is built on IBIOS Meet, so you talk by voice or video during the session.
- Where the session is recorded. Support only helps the next person if it is on the record. IBIOS Assist, coming soon, will put a session report on the customer or staff record in IBIOS.
- Which languages. If the people you support speak other languages, check how the tool helps. IBIOS Assist, coming soon, will let you support each person in their own language with live translation.
- What you can use today. The IBIOS customer record, jobs and quotes, typed Ask IBIOS, and call reports from the recordings your phone provider already makes are live now.
What will IBIOS Assist do?
Coming soon: IBIOS Assist is built on IBIOS Meet, so you will talk to the other person by voice or video while you support them, in their own language with live translation, also coming soon. You will be able to see their screen and, with their explicit consent, take control.
When the session ends, the session report will land in IBIOS on the customer record or staff record. Remote-control tools often focus on control alone; IBIOS Assist pairs the conversation with the control and the record.
How will consent work?
Consent will be required before any control starts, the person can withdraw it at any time, and the session will be visible to the person being supported. Nobody will be able to take control of a screen in the background.
What about UK GDPR?
A remote support session can show personal data on the other person’s screen, so treat it like any other personal data. Tell people what is recorded and why, and keep it to what is needed for the support you are giving.
This is general information, not legal advice; check your own obligations with a qualified adviser.
How will IBIOS Assist help with IT support?
Coming soon: when a member of staff cannot get a printer, email account or app working, someone can talk them through it, see their screen and, with their consent, fix it while they watch. The session report will be linked to their staff record, so repeat problems are easy to spot.
Can marketing support be done on the client’s own screen?
Coming soon: a marketing adviser will be able to walk a client through their website editor or social media settings on the client’s own screen, taking control only when the client agrees. The session report will stay on that client’s record.
How will accounting and bookkeeping support work?
Coming soon: a bookkeeper will be able to see a client’s screen to help with a spreadsheet or an accounting package, with control only by consent. Because financial screens hold sensitive data, tell the client what is recorded and keep the session to the task in hand.
Can HR help staff with forms and systems?
Coming soon: HR staff will be able to help a new starter complete online forms or find their way around a system, in the new starter’s own language. Consent is required before anyone sees or controls the screen, the person being helped will see everything that happens and can stop the session at any time, and IBIOS does not score staff.
How will customer service use remote assist?
Coming soon: when a customer is stuck on a payment page, an online form or a product setting, staff will be able to talk them through it in their own language, see their screen and guide them, taking control only with the customer’s consent. The session report will land on the customer record, next to their jobs, quotes and call reports.
Can I use it for sales demos and training?
Coming soon: a salesperson will be able to share their screen for a demo, and a trainer will be able to watch a trainee work and step in with consent. Both will work across languages with live translation, which is also coming soon.
Can agencies support their clients and suppliers?
Coming soon: agencies that look after clients’ systems will be able to support each client with the session report kept on that client’s record. The same will work for helping an overseas supplier with an order portal in their own language. More scenarios are on IBIOS use cases.
Remote-control tools, meeting tools, or IBIOS Assist?
Remote-control tools often focus on control alone, and general meeting tools focus on the call. The question for a business is whether the conversation, the control and the record come together in one place.
| Option | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Dedicated remote-control tools | IT teams that support many computers and need unattended access. | Often focus on control alone, so the conversation and the record may sit elsewhere. Check how consent and unattended access are controlled. |
| General meeting tools | Businesses that already use one and mostly need screen sharing. | Features vary by vendor and plan, so check the vendor’s current help pages. Notes have to be copied to the customer or staff record by hand. |
| Talking someone through it on the phone | Quick, simple fixes. | Slow and frustrating for both sides, especially across languages, and nothing is recorded. |
| IBIOS Assist (coming soon) | Businesses that want the conversation, the control and the record together: voice or video in each person’s language, control with consent, and a session report on the customer or staff record. | Coming soon, not live yet: early access by waiting list. Control will always need the other person’s consent. |
What you need in place before you start
- A clear consent wording to read or show before taking control of anyone’s screen.
- A short notice telling people what is recorded during a support session and why.
- Customer and staff records in one place, so session reports have somewhere to land.
- Agreement on who in your team may take control, and for which kinds of support.
What it costs
IBIOS Assist is coming soon and is being built into IBIOS rather than sold as a separate remote-control tool. The hidden costs today are long phone calls talking someone through clicks, site visits for simple fixes, and support history nobody can find.
Founding prices for waiting-list members are explained on the pricing page.

What people get wrong
- Taking control of a screen without asking first, or without making it clear how to stop.
- Recording more than the support needs, including unrelated personal data on screen.
- Keeping support notes in a separate tool where the next person cannot see them.
- Leaving unattended access switched on long after the job is done.
- Believing a demo of a "coming next month" feature. Ask what runs in a working business today.
