Multi-brand business software: two brands, one business
IBIOS runs several brands inside one business: staff can be limited to the brands they work on, your brands sit in a hierarchy that matches the business, managers get cross-brand reports, and each brand has its own voice setting. One login and one set of records, with each brand kept apart where it should be.
Early access by waiting list.
Where does brand separation show up in IBIOS?
Brand separation works with Customers (CRM) and sits alongside access rights per role and per person. Cross-brand figures are part of IBIOS reports. If your question is about the product brands you buy and sell rather than your own trading names, read managing multiple brands in a trade business.

Running two or more brands in one business: what to check before you choose software
Written by the IBIOS team. IBIOS was built inside a working bathroom showroom in Northern Ireland, where it runs the business day to day. Last updated 18 October 2026.
How do you choose software for a multi-brand business?
Decide who should see what first, then how your brands relate to each other, then what the owner needs to see across all of them, and only then how each brand sounds to its customers. Most multi-brand mess comes from one shared customer list that every member of staff can see and every brand writes to in the same voice.
- Who sees which brand. Staff who work for one brand should see that brand’s customers and work, not the whole business. In IBIOS, staff can be limited to the brands they work on.
- How the brands fit together. Map your brands: a main brand, sub-brands, or a showroom brand and a trade brand. IBIOS holds a brand hierarchy, so the structure in the system matches the business.
- The owner’s view. Owners need totals across every brand without exporting and adding spreadsheets. IBIOS has cross-brand reports.
- How each brand sounds. A luxury brand and a trade brand should not write in the same voice. IBIOS lets you set a voice per brand.
- One login, one set of records. Check that one person can work across two brands where they need to, without a second login.
Who needs multi-brand business software?
Any UK business that trades under more than one name: a showroom brand and a trade counter brand, a retail brand and an online shop, or a business that has bought another and kept its name. The work is shared but customers know each brand separately.
IBIOS was built inside Isabella Bathrooms, a working bathroom showroom, and brand separation came from running real brands side by side in one business.
How do you keep staff to the brands they work on?
In IBIOS, each member of staff can be limited to the brands they work on. Someone who works only for one brand is limited to that brand; someone who works across two can be given both.
This sits alongside access rights per role and per person.
What is a brand hierarchy and why does it matter?
A brand hierarchy records how your brands relate: which is the main brand, which sit under it, and which stand alone. When the structure in the software matches the real business, reports group properly and staff access follows the shape of the business rather than a list of names.
IBIOS holds the brand hierarchy in settings, so it can change when the business does.
Can the owner see every brand in one report?
Yes. IBIOS has cross-brand reports for managers, while staff stay limited to the brands they work on.
The usual alternative is a spreadsheet per brand, added together at month end, which is late and easy to get wrong.
How does each brand keep its own voice?
You can set a voice for each brand in IBIOS. A premium showroom brand can sound warm and detailed while a trade brand stays short and plain.
Whatever voice you set, a person should still read AI-written text before it goes to a customer.
Separate systems, one shared system, or IBIOS?
| Option | Best for | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| A separate system per brand | Brands that share nothing: no staff, stock or suppliers. | Two logins, two customer lists, and no single view for the owner without exporting and adding up. |
| One system with no brand separation | A business that trades under one name in practice. | Every member of staff sees every brand’s customers, and every document and message sounds the same. |
| Spreadsheets per brand | A second brand that is still small. | Totals arrive late, and figures drift between copies. |
| IBIOS | Businesses running two or more brands with shared staff, stock or suppliers who want one system with brand separation. | Early access by waiting list. Accounting sync with QuickBooks and Xero is coming soon, so ask your accountant how separate companies should keep their books. |
What you need in place before you start
- A list of your brands and how they relate to each other.
- Which staff work on which brands, and who works across more than one.
- Who should see figures across every brand.
- A few lines describing how each brand talks to its customers.
- If your brands are separate companies, your accountant’s view on how their records should be kept.
What it costs
Brand separation is part of IBIOS rather than a second system to pay for. The bigger costs are a second set of software licences, staff seeing customers they should not, and month-end figures added up by hand.
Founding prices for waiting-list members are explained on the pricing page.

What people get wrong
- Running a second system for a second brand, then keying shared stock and suppliers twice.
- Putting every brand in one customer list that every member of staff can see.
- Leaving the brand structure out of the software, so reports never group the way the business is run.
- Letting every brand send the same wording, so the premium brand sounds like the trade one.
- Adding brand totals in a spreadsheet at month end instead of reporting across brands.
- Believing a demo of a "coming next month" feature. Ask what runs in a working business today.
