Which do I need: IBIOS Meet, IBIOS Assist or IBIOS Remote?
Start with what you need to do, not with the product name. All three are coming soon.
- I need to talk to someone face to face, or run a meeting with several people: IBIOS Meet.
- I need to see a customer’s screen and talk them through a problem, and they should not have to install anything: IBIOS Assist.
- I need to click and type on a Windows PC myself, to fix it, or reach my office PC from home: IBIOS Remote.
- I need tickets and a shared record of customer conversations: Messaging Hub.
How do the three tools work together?
Think of it as a ladder. Meet is the conversation. Assist adds the customer’s screen, view-only. Remote adds control, and only that step needs an app on the PC. You use the lowest step that solves the problem, and the customer stays in charge at each one.
The longer-term plan is for one session that can move up or down the ladder without everyone reconnecting, asking for fresh consent at each step. That is a design, not something that is built.
How do consent and the record work across all three?
These are the rules the three tools are designed to share. They are not live yet.
- The other person agrees first, and a visible sign shows whenever their screen is shared or their PC is being controlled.
- Sessions are time-limited and the host can end them. Every step is logged.
- Recording is never assumed: Assist is designed not to record, and in Meet it is an option that needs people to have been told.
- The notes belong on the record: the customer, the job or the ticket, so the next person can see what happened.
Where do helpdesk tickets fit?
Tickets are planned as a state on an email thread, so the thread stays the record, and you will be able to start an Assist or Remote session from a ticket. Tickets are coming soon; what is live today is the email threads on your customers, jobs and quotes, and the AI writer’s Draft reply and Rewrite. See Messaging Hub and helpdesk and the AI email writer.
