What will IBIOS Remote do?
IBIOS Remote lets one person work on another person’s Windows PC over the internet. The plan includes support sessions started with a device ID and a one-time password, where the person at the PC approves each session, and always-on access to your own PCs for named people only.
It is coming soon, like everything on this page. The 69 features above are a plan, not features you can switch on today.
How is IBIOS Remote different from IBIOS Assist and IBIOS Meet?
IBIOS Remote is the only one of the three where you can click and type on someone else’s computer. IBIOS Assist is view-only guided support in a browser, and IBIOS Meet is video meetings. If looking at a screen and talking is enough, Assist is simpler for the customer because there is nothing to install. See the IBIOS Support Suite page for a which-one-do-I-need list.
How will access to your PCs be controlled?
Reaching a PC that someone else owns is the part that needs the strictest rules. These are the controls IBIOS Remote is planned to have. None of them is available yet, and we are not making security claims about IBIOS Remote until it is built and independently reviewed.
- You choose exactly who may connect to each PC.
- Every connection needs a second sign-in step.
- The person at the PC approves each support session, and a clear on-screen notice shows whenever someone is connected.
- Sessions end automatically after a time limit, or if the PC goes quiet.
- Per-PC switches for files, printing, clipboard and drives are off by default.
- A full log shows who connected, to which PC, when and for how long, with alerts for out-of-hours access and PCs going offline.
How will IBIOS Remote work with customers, jobs and the helpdesk?
Sessions are planned to link to customers, jobs and helpdesk tickets, so the next person can see what was done. Planned session notes and an automatic summary go on the same record, and the session history can be exported. The helpdesk side is described on the Messaging Hub and helpdesk page and is also coming soon.
How will IBIOS Remote be put on many PCs?
For IT teams the plan is a Deploy page with ready-made commands and downloads, a silent installer for Group Policy, Intune and RMM tools, and one enrolment key that you control. Reinstalling a PC is planned not to create a duplicate, and updates are planned to be automatic and signed, with a safe rollback. All of it is coming soon.
How an IBIOS Remote session will work (coming soon)
The person at the PC starts it
Coming soon: they run a small support app and give you a device ID and a one-time password.
They approve the session
The person at the PC approves it, and a clear on-screen notice shows whenever someone is connected.
You work, then it ends
You see and control the Windows PC. The session ends after a time limit, and the connection is logged.

Questions people ask
Is IBIOS Remote available now?
No. IBIOS Remote is coming soon and is not live yet. Join the waiting list for early access. There is no free trial.
How many features are planned for IBIOS Remote?
69 features in 9 groups, all listed on this page. Every one is coming soon, and no dates are promised.
Does the person being supported need to install anything?
The plan includes a run-once support app that needs no install and no admin rights, started with a device ID and a one-time password. Always-on access to your own PCs is planned too. If you only need to see a customer’s screen and talk them through it, IBIOS Assist runs in a browser with nothing to install. All of it is coming soon.
Can I reach my office PC from home with IBIOS Remote?
That is the plan: always-on access to your own PCs, for named people only, with a second sign-in step for every connection. It is coming soon and is not available today.
Will IBIOS Remote work on Mac, Linux or phones?
The planned platform is Windows PCs and servers. We have not announced any other system for IBIOS Remote. A planned IBIOS mobile app will show your devices and sessions. All of it is coming soon.
Does IBIOS Remote have two-factor sign-in and trusted devices?
Both are planned and built on a branch, switched off and not live. A company switch would turn two-step sign-in on, and a device would need approving before it counts as trusted. The remote-start step is not yet connected to that check, and it needs a signing key to be set up first.
Is IBIOS Remote encrypted?
We are not making any security claims for IBIOS Remote until it is built and independently reviewed. It is coming soon and none of the planned controls is available yet.
Will every connection be logged?
A full log of every connection is planned: who connected, to which PC, when and for how long, with alerts for out-of-hours access and PCs going offline. It is coming soon.
