What is Brain for Teams?

Brain for Teams is planned shared AI memory. Where the IBIOS AI Company Brain answers questions from your records today, Brain for Teams is about what your people know that is not in a record yet: how a supplier likes to be ordered from, which jobs need a particular fitter, what was agreed on the phone.

It is coming soon and is at design stage. Nothing here can be used yet, and this page will change when it can.

How will shared memory scopes work?

The design starts private. A note or fact belongs to the person who recorded it until they choose to share it with a team, a project, a brand or the whole company. Sharing is a copy, not a move, and a named person approves it, so the original stays where it was.

Who can read shared memory is designed to follow each person’s own permissions in IBIOS, the same rule Ask IBIOS is designed to follow today. Nothing about Brain for Teams widens what someone can already see.

What happens when two people disagree, or someone leaves?

The design includes a way to handle two people recording facts that disagree, and a reviewed handover when someone leaves or changes role, so a person decides what is passed on. Both are part of the design, not features you can switch on today.

How is it different from Ask IBIOS?

Ask IBIOS is live. It reads your records and shows its sources. Brain for Teams adds shared, scoped memory beside those records. Learning from facts your team confirms is a separate piece and is in testing; see the knowledge graph page. You can also see how an assistant outside IBIOS might use the same brain on the IBIOS for Claude page.

Questions people ask

Is Brain for Teams available?

No. Brain for Teams is coming soon and is at design stage. Nothing in it is available to customers yet. You can join the waiting list and we will tell you when that changes.

What is the difference between Brain for Teams and the IBIOS AI Company Brain?

The IBIOS AI Company Brain answers typed questions from your records today through Ask IBIOS. Brain for Teams is the planned shared-memory layer for what your people know that is not in a record yet.

Will my notes be shared with the whole company?

No, not by default. The design makes memory personal until its owner chooses to share it, and sharing is a copy with a named approver.

Can people see things they could not see in IBIOS?

It is designed not to. Brain for Teams is meant to follow each person’s own IBIOS permissions, so it does not widen access.

Can the company memory hide finance and manager information from staff?

That is what the access labels are for. Each item carries a label (staff, manager, finance or personal) and a reader sees it only if their own rights allow. It is built on our staging system and is not live. We make no claim that it has been proven airtight.

When will Brain for Teams be ready?

There is no release date. It is coming soon and at design stage, and we would rather say that than guess a date.
