What is product matching?
A quote line says "1700 bath, white" or carries a supplier code. Product matching, powered by IBIOS AI, finds the matching product in your own catalogue and brings across its prices and supplier brand. The quote is built in Quote Studio from your catalogue, not from free text.
How does product matching work with uploads?
When you upload a supplier PDF or a photo, photo to quote reads it into lines, and each line is then matched to your products. Lines that are low-confidence are flagged, so a person checks them. See AI quote confidence.
IBIOS never sends a quote to a customer by itself. A person reviews it first.
Why match to the catalogue at all?
Because a matched line is a real product, with a price and a supplier behind it, not free text. That keeps the quote consistent with the catalogue it came from, and it is the starting point for supplier orders on the job.
